    I am putting together a list of all the different kinds of adventure motorcycles that people ride. Please reply to this thread if you have a motorcycle that you go touring on and I will add it to the list! There is no motorbike too big or too small... if you adventure ride with it we want to see it on the list!

    Moto Guzzi used to have the Quota and now has the Stelvio. Moto Guzzis are popular in some corners and fanatically worshipped in others. ;)

    Also, if you're going to include the XR250, you should also add the Kawasaki KLX250S and Yamaha WR250, both of which are very capable. Dr. Gregory Frazier has done some extensive travels in Asia on the Kawasaki. Small bikes are very capable, too.

    Added - good suggestions. There's no bike too big or small for adventure riding :)

    I will eventually add them all to the Wiki.

    1994 BMW R100GS, the R80GS started the "adventure bike " craze.
